Children’s Book Drive - Children’s books wanted for urban classrooms! The Wrightstown Farmers Market is excited to be partnering with the A.L. Fitzpatrick Elementary School in Northeast Philadelphia to bring its 900 students some much needed books. This school serves K-8th grades in regular education and special education to a diverse population of Hispanic, African American, and Caucasian. Surplus donations will go to a K-8 school in Accra, Ghana.
Bring us your gently used or new books and we’ll send them right to the school! A.L. Fitzpatrick can use books of all types, especially nonfiction for all ages and current books such as Minecraft, Lego, Superheroes, Disney Princess, etc.
Bring your love (books!) to the market on May 28th and June 4th. You can meet Lora Green, one of the school’s teachers on June 4th.
